MACABRE MONDAYS on sunday

Firstly i want to thank all my blogging buddies who have left comments on here or who have emailed me about losing 'FABLE'... thank you all so much... i am overwhelmed by everyones kindness.
LISA from SOPHISTICATS sent be a beautiful wall hanger to cheer me up and TERI from TERIS CARDS AND TOPPERS/ TUESDAY TAGGERS sent me on of her stunning drawings... all of her drawings are stunning but this one i fell in love with when i 1st saw it... i shall get it framed and hung in the hall.
Both of you girls are so kind... thank you.
Now to MACABRE MONDAYS CHALLENGE.... yet again i'm late doing it.... next week i shall do it sooner.... said that for the last however many weeks... sorry barb...
GHASTLY GRAVEYARD is the challenge.... so i made an atc and a card..... both are made using stamps from De stempelwinel, lots of ink and yellow and white pencils.... the card has been distressed.... and has the words on the bottom embossed in china white.

With the Angels

This is FABLE.... my beautiful parson jack russell, who had been ill for a while, she had major surgery at the end of february, seemed to be doing well considering her age... she was 16 back in june... but last week she stated to go down hill very quickly... i sat with her day and night from friday until monday at 10.20am when ZAK the nicest, kindest most caring vet imaginable said that this was the end... no amount of money would make her well again, there was nothing more he could do and i needed to let her go to sleep, end her pain,and let her go... i held her whilst my dad held me... THANK YOU DAD .... I LOVE YOU.... it broke my heart but i finally let her go... i killed my darling little dog... i miss her so much... i havent been to bed since monday... she slept with me and my bed is empty without her.
I know its just a matter of time, and getting rid of the feeling of guilt... my head tells me i was right to end her suffering but my heart tells me i killed her.... i love her and miss her and honestly dont know what i'm gonna do without her, she was so special to me.

TELLENS PLACE

Today is the very 1st TELLONS PLACE CHALLENGE.... we would love you to come and join us this week and every week... this week there is a free digi image... the witch on her day off... i've used... but you dont have to use her.... the theme is embellishments... my embellies? Well... ink and stamps!!! I needed to prove to my self that i could use a digi image just like i use real stamps... so i did ... i made a mask of her and stamped and masked various things around her... including the cutest sleeping dragon. I kept the colours simple... blues greys and black, made a gatefold card.. all the panels are inked stamped and inked again... the stamps are INKADINKADOO and WOODWARE.
Please come and give us your support and see if i can keep making digi images into something different than the artist intended.

TUESDAY TAGGERS DT CARD

Another late DT post... sorry.
The theme at TUESDAY TAGGERS this week is RED GREEN and GOLD.... oh YES!!!! christmas i thought.... so here is 'winter' again... i really do love him... see post below for stamp details.
I kept it simple... red gold and green patterned card... some mirri board, ribbon and a stamped sentiment.

sophisticats challenge

Sorry everyone but last couple of days have gone in a blur so heres my DT for this weeks challenge at SOPHISTICATS.... we had our 1st guest designer this week and she choose to do a sketch... well those who know me, know sketches arnt my favourite thing to work with but this is a nice one... i choose to make a christmas card as i am in dire need of christmas cards this year, i'm so far behind even if christmas was prosponed til march i wouldnt be ready.
I used one of my wonderful d. torrents stamps from stampotique... love this one so much.... paper, card and ribbon from my stash, gems i stole of the girls and a sentiment stamp i heat embossed in white... its my feeble attempt at humour.

MACABRE MONDAYS

The theme at MACABRE MONDAYS ..... until tomorrow... last as always hey?.... is ....
BIZARRE BEAUTY SCHOOL DROP OUT.... my lady didnt so much dropout ... she dropped dead.... long dead i think,,,, starting to decay, doesnt smell to good and has rather bad breath.....
anyway.... i drew the face, stamped a grave yard and a verse... both cherrypie... and coloured with pencils and coipous amountts of ink.

DARKNESS INSPIRATION

Darkness inspirations this fortnight want to see 'BATS' in your art work.
Bats are a favourite of mine so this could well be the 1st of many for this challenge.
Its all stamps.... masking to make a scene... the lady is coloured with promarkers and ink... everything else is just ink.

Art on the darkside...

Art on the darkside this week want to see 'MYTHOLOGICAL HORRORS'.
This stamp i brought from a brilliant dutch company 'de stempelwinkel'.... i've coloured this blood thirsty orgre using pencils and ink.... i've used stone wall stamps from the same company to frame the figure.... and a lot of black ink to create shadows so he seems to be coming out of the darkness.

Another christmas card

As i mentioned in the post below.... i am having to start on the christmas cards.... this one is made following the sketch at 'WINTER WONDERLAND'.
I have used a wendy rhodes stamp,stamped onto vellum and heat embossed it with 'lisas frost' embossing powder. The flower is done in the same way.
I used paper from my stash, a small ribbon and a tiny bell... silver mirri card and black inked the edges just so i got mucky fingers.... all this christmassy stuff just isnt me!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

As christmas is coming at a rate of knots i thought i had better knuckle down and start making some cards This one is using the sketch from 'just christmas and birthdays'.
Its all very basic... stamped image coloured with promarkers... papers from my christmas stash and the usual ink spread about... even a cute christmas card has to have ink smeared round the edges!

REMEMBERANCE DAY

As today is remembrance day i thought i'd show you all a picture of my grandad taken in 1939 when he was 19years old.... just a boy really.

Grandad came home... and is still around... he'll be 90 in December, has dementia but remembers the war as if it was yesterday.

I love him so much.

I believe today is also veteran's day across the pond.... so i thought i'd mark that too with a photo of my daft yank squirrel killer swearing allegiance to the flag when he went to serve in Vietnam
when he was 2oyrs old. Like my grandad, he came home, but so many didnt today we will remember them.

Grandad... Ron... i'm so proud of you both. love ya both always. xxx

TUESDAY TAGGERS DT CARD

The challenge at TUESDAY TAGGERS this week is 'NO PATTERNED PAPERS'.
i have used a background made by mixing paint with liquid soap and blowing bubbles though a straw.... the image is stamped over the top and the face is coloured in with pencil for definition. I stamped stars top and bottom.... thats it another atc done!

Dt card for my challenge at sophisticats

Well its my choice of challenge this week at SOPHISTICATS..... I choose 'wings'... and right up to starting this card i was going to do some dark winged thing.... but then with this week having the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in it i thought i'd do something for 'rememberance' day. This is what i came up with. I used an angel stamp from 'stampinback' words and swirls from who knows where, mica powder, silver paper lace and a metal heart.... not forgeting the red poppy the angel is reaching for. I coloured the figure with pencils just to give a little definition, and the wings are coloured in white with a touch of aqua green.... a close up is included just so you can see clear what i'm trying to say.

MACABRE MONDAYS

The theme at Macabre Monday this week is Garishly Gleaming Glitter.... something i'm not really into.... so i Stamped a sort of semi spooky scene, the skull and bat cauldron are 'inkadinkadoo' but not sure where the lady comes from.... coloured with pencils and ink and then added purple and green stickles to the bubbles coming from the cauldron. Its another page for the book i hope to some day put to gether.

The three muses...2wks in one

I missed last weeks challenge at the 'muses' which was to include a chicken in your art work, so i decided to combine that challenge with this weeks which is anything you want as long as there are two of them.... so i used a stamp of 2 chickens... thats the 'lovely pair' bit and as a mother of twins i made a quip about them being a 'pain'. Dont know where i got the stamps or who made them.. sorry... but this atc is coloured with pencils and inks as always and i just wrote the words on.

TUESDAY TAGGERS DT.

The theme at taggers this week is 'A SPLASH OF COLOUR'. So i took it literally and splashed some cwatercolours onto watercolour paper, pulled it out a bit in places, inked the edges with black.
The stamp of the birds is an inkadinkadoo but i dont know where i got mona from. Sorry.
I highlighted parts of monas face with a chinese white pencil, because where i choose to stamp her was rather red and i lost her features!!!! Note to my self.... BE MORE AWARE!!!

PINK AND BROWN DT CARD

At SOPHISTICATS this week my team mate and friend AVRIL choose PINK AND BROWN with a FLOWER...... to get us away from grungey halloween and christmas... so i just had to do a grungey christmas card... didnt i?
Papers are from my christmas stash and liberal amounts of ink have been added. The stamps are INKADINKADOO. the flower i put together from the vase full on my desk.

Vampires

I had another play and this is the result. I used a stamp from 'scrapz' of a lovely oriental lady and gave her fangs and red eyes.... the bat and gravestones are from inkadinkadoo. I coloured her face with promarkers then did alot of shading with ink.
I shall enter her in the 'Thank god its friday challenge', which is 'vampires', Rainbowladys challenge' which is 'halloween' and again in the challenge at 'Darkness inspirations'... whose challenge is still 'Vampires'.

This atc is for lots of challenges... its all stamped and inked.
So i'll enter it at.... corrosive challenges, crafty creations, pennys challenge and opus-gluei, although i havent used any glue other than that which sticks the front to the atc backing!

Gothic arches

This is my 1st piece for the GOTHIC ARCHES challenge.
I used this stamp earlier in the week and thought it very fitting for the challenge which is Risque'
I have used my usual inks to colour and a sukura pen for the moon behind the dragon, which is a stamp from 'Tanda stamps'.
