 ...another altered coffin box... a fitting end...

 a clay cross on top with POE's face.... cob webs to compliment the spiders on the coffin.

Here we are the last but one day...
so my DAY #30 project....
trying to make clay look like a lump of 'pig iron'...
you know the bit that slops over and dries in a lump.....

 As it's FRIDAY its SMEARED INK DAY.... so I used a smeared ink stamp.

 I hope it looks like a lump of malformed metal to you....

 Today I have the last plaque to show you....
this one really needs to hang on my girls bedroom door....
but it'll probably end up on my craftroom door instead.
I used  stamps from DESTEMPELWINKEL , alphas, drips, splats plus the chain and barbed wire...

 .... I love those so much..... so real looking.... favourites of mine at the moment

Last WEDNESDAY of this hop....

Right...here we are with my DAY #28 PROJECT...
A pack of 13 wooden kiddies bricks...
with letters on two of the faces....

so that left me with 4 sides on each brick to alter...

 ...and make a box for them...

 .... I worked out how to leave the word POE free.....
Here is one side ...

You'd be surprised how difficult it is now 4 of the sides are decorated to put the pictures together....

childs play?   It keeps me amused for ages!

I've used a mix of stamps... Smeared ink, De-stempelwinkel and Tim Holtz.

Black paint for the bricks and red paint for all the letters... just a bit of daftness really.

Last Tuesday of this hop....
I'm running out of steam now...
Right...here we are with my DAY #27 PROJECT...
an altered coffin box.... with a faux metal finish.

 I placed a clay cross I made on the lid... (stamped clay of cause... De-stempelwinkel skull in centre and SI stamp round edges.).... this was give the metal finish too....

 .... and inside the lid a stamped image from Third coast.... which now trades as Thirdstone... (thanks Leigh for the info,) some tiny roses and bugs!

 Lots of cutting and snipping went on here....lots of layers with silicone.
I used an Aurora wings digi... and rubber alpha's from De-stempelwinkel.

 She looks quite nice with the tea-light lit.

With today being FRIDAY it's
SMEARED INK DAY...
well I love altering stuff... so another hoarded box of dominos got a makeover.
These are the small black wood ones...
I used DP to cover the box after I'd painted it black...
I covered the back of each domino with the same paper and stamp a spider on it from the
BO PEEP rubber set.

 I painted the dots on the dominos orange to match in with the box/backs of dominos.

 I stamped the word 'dominos' with DE-STEMPELWINKEL scrabble tile stamps for the box lid.
Drilled a hole in the lid to make it easier to open by adding a bit of orange ribbon.

Today I'd like to remind you of our challenge at
QUOTH THE RAVEN...
where we have a colour challenge for you...
use at least 3 of these colours... and of cause make it POE related,

I made a QUOTH THE RAVEN plaque....
you must be getting quite sick of my plaques by now....
but hey-ho...my cards would be worse!

 I used GREEN, PURPLE and BLACK.... I started out with a piece of DP that I stamped
swirls and barbed wire on... then added the words using alpha's from DE-STEMPELWINKEL.
Loads of ink to distress it.... and a white gel pen for high-lights.

 I hope you'll have a project to enter in our challenge this month...
we have a great prize.... REAL RUBBER STAMPS!

Here is my project for today...
Another plaque...
this one is for my girly twin.... pretty spider webs...
The alpha stamps are DE-STEMPELWINKEL and I think the
flourishy spider webs are Inkadinkadoo but I could be wrong.
I embossed the words and webs with a glittery black embossing powder...
of cause one twin loves it... the other is mildy amused.

 The coaster has heat resistant vanish so my hot tea cup won't take the paint off.

Well its Sunday....
and after having my parents here all day yesterday and the girls wanting to do all sorts of Hallowe'enie
 crafty stuff I only have a small altered note book for you.
I haven't got anywhere near enough of these made....
my sister informed me that there'll be 23 kids at the party this year....
so I need to go into mass production!

Also today you'll see a far more involved project from me over at DOMINOART...
I altered another full box of dominos plus the box... so I haven't really cheated by just doing a little project for my blog.

Today being a FRIDAY its a SMEARED INK  day.
So ....sorry about this...but I have another altered game for you.
This time its PICK UP STICKS.

 I painted the box inside and out... covered it with embossed card...

 rubbed over with gilding wax...
a small SMEARED INK digi image of POE mounted in a tiny bezel
and the word STICKS in metal on the lid...

 So I now have a box of POE STICKS.....
yeah I painted every single stick, then had to put the coloured rings on with paint too...
that was a whole evening taken care of!

Today I'd like to remind you of two challenges that are half way through...
QUOTH THE RAVEN...
where we have a colour challenge for you...
use at least 3 of these colours... and of cause make it POE related,

also SMUDGY ANTICS,
where the challenge is ANYTHING GOES with a SMEARED INK IMAGE.
My project today combines the two, as it was really quite time consumming.
I started with this TIC-TAC-TOE(noughts and crosses) game

then altered it into
TIC-TAC-POE

 I used the colours as required for the QUOTH THE RAVEN challenge,

 plus SMEARED INK images.
Now this is my sort of game.... always loved noughts and crosses!
