SMEARED AND SMUDGED FORUM JULY BLOG HOP

Every month at Smeared and Smudged we have a members' blog hop. This month the girls wanted us to to step away from cards and ALTER a 3D object. The only rule was that had to have a stamped image or sentiment on it somewhere.

I had great fun altering this china owl..... i used PAPER ARTSY stamps..... stamped onto tissue paper and heat embossed , black, i then used copious amounts of pva. Once dry i coloured my owl with black and grey ink..... i used black ink at the bottom to sort of shade the edges.... and tried to define his beak and eyes the same way.

I used brass washers and black gems for his eyes.

Finally i coated him with clear sealer.

Below is the list of the other blogs to visit.... these girls will really inspire you..... hop in any order you like but make sure you visit them all.... cos if you miss one you'll miss something amazing!

Below is the double page spread of the book i'm altering.... just incase any of you are interested.

I shall enter my owl in the following challenges,
