The challenge at the Three muses this week is 'Long ago and far away'
I made this atc using Tanda stamps and creative expressions make a scene stamps. I have coloured it all with ink and a chinese white pencil for the highlights.
For me the words 'long ago..... ' brought to mind knights and dragons ..... thanks for visiting.

Found a new dark art challenge

Was i pleased or was i pleased when i found another 'DARK ART' challenge. I just love doing this sort of stuff.
The challenge at DARKNESS INSPIRATIONS is vampires.... so i hunted thought my stamps for something to use and found this couple by NON SEQUTUER and the heart by INKADINKADOO and had a play with masking. I coloured the couple with promarkers and the rest with ink.... then thought i'd better add the swirly bat.... just cos i like it! I put blood her lips and holes in his neck... there you go...VAMPIRES!!!

MACABRE MONDAYS

The theme at macabre monday this week is to use... GREEN, BLACK, WITH PURPLE OR TAN and to include SOMETHING ROUND AND SHINEY.
I am sorry this is a bit 'risque' but i have been having a play and wanted to use non halloween stamps in a creepy/gothic/dark way.
I have used a lady on rocks... dont know where i got her...sorry... and cauldron with bats from a plate by inkadinkadoo.
I have used ink... i know ... as usual !!!!!and promarkers to colour the figure,rocks and to do the highlights. The bubbles i used diamond glaze on to make them round and shiney.

Tuesday taggers....

The challenge at TUESDAY TAGGERS this week is 'Things that go bump in the night' or just plain old 'halloween'.
Well as i'm sure most of you who come here know by now that 'creepy, gothic, dark.... halloweeny...' is right up my street.... its my 'THING'....forget girly, pink, cute or fluffy i love the 'darker art'.... nothing gruesome... oh no!!!! but 'darker'... love it.
The grim reeper stamp came from dimention forth and the tree,graves happy haunting is from inkadinkadoo.
I used inks to colour and promarkers to highlight areas.

sophisticats challenge

This weeks sketch at s-cats is by Lisa... and its a very very 'usable' sketch.... watch out for me using it as christmas...BAH HUMBUG.... gets closer. She also wants to see some '3D'.... elements on 3D foam or decoupage.
I used a skull stamp from 'dimention forth' and stamped it 3x and decoupaged it as you can see in the bottom picture. I used lots of ink...as always, i made the flower from bits i had laying around and of cause i coloured them with ink to match.... i used lace and ribbon that my friend LUCY sent me last christmas and papers from my stash. The faerie in the bottom corner is cut from the paper and inked to blend.

MACABRE MONDAYS

Had another chaotic week and got very little done again. The challenge at macabre mondays was interior decor and had to include some or all of the elements in Barbs photo... mine only has a a skull and a raven. The lantern and skull are inkadinkadoo, the raven i brought from 'SCRAPZ' but i cant remember who made it. The atc is coloured in inks.

The challenge over at the three muses this week is to include numbers in your art work.
I had a play with some glossy card and different inks and this is what i came up with.
The stamps were at purchased from 'scrapz'.
I like the effect i got but i'm damned if i can repeat it!!!! Oh well.... i'll have another play sometime.

MACABRE MONDAYS

The challenge this week is to make a sweet treat holder or wrapper...whatever!!! This is what my girls and i came up with this afternoon.As i'm sure anyone who has ever been to Mc Donalds knows, we have used one of there chip boxes as a template. I used orange card and stamped the main images and coloured them... michaela then stamped the spiders for me.... i now have a stamping mat and desk very tastefully decorated with spiders.... shes so much like me!!!! stamp everything!!! Digital 2 for tuesday.

This is the 1st time i have entered this challenge but i loved the free images so much i had to have a go this week.
The wonderful background was given free.... so i altered it slightly...i jusy drew in bits of web and foliage and decoupaged another skelly bone... stamp by non-sequtur and the words are from my collection.
Its coloured in ink.

sophisticats challenge for last week

This is my DT card for the s-cat challenge that ends later tonight ... theres a new sketch tomorrow so i hope you'll all go and have a look iin the morning.
I used just 3 colours and stamps i brought from 'ARIES CRAFTS'. i used diamond glaze on the eyes and i think it brought the image to life.

MACABRE MONDAYS

Sorry so late this week and not doing many challenges...but girls and oldies poorly and had workmen here for 3 days putting a new boiler in... the week just vanished.

The challenge this week at 'macabre mondays' is to make something with movement..... i used non sequtur stamps and inks to colour.

The skelly-bone is stamped 3 times and decoupaged.... then its mounted on a tiny bit of acetate so he wobbles and appears to dance in the moonlight.

Tuesday taggers.... 1st week as full time DT member

As some of you know i have been a part time member of the TUESDAY TAGGERS DT for a little while now, but last week they invited me and the other part timers to go full time so of cause i said yes.... Taggers being one of the 1st challenges i ever did and them usually being a little different from the 'norm'.... i was dead chuffed.
Any how heres my atc.... SCRAPZ is were i brought the stamp.... its stamped in black, and i've used midnight blue, deep purple, forrest green and black ink to colour the background. the moon is done using a mask and silver and gold ink. The trees are highlighted with a gold pen.
I like doing this darker more atmospheric stuff.... i keep trying cutie stuff but its not really me.

sophisticats challenge

This weeks challenge is a sketch by stef..... its an amazing sketch i think and i even used a flower!
I used black handmade paper with gold writing on. I stamped on a white flower in black ink and on to 2 small bits of card used gold liquid ink for detail and edges .
Sorry but i have no idea who made the stamp but its a very pretty little angel.... and i have it in 2 sizes.
Please go and check out this weeks challenge... and maybe vote for me as this months dt winner....??? I dont think so... the other DTs are all so talented... i'm the weak link.

Last weeks s-cats

The challenge last week at sophisticats was set by karen ... a brilliant sketch but NO STAMPED IMAGES!!!!!! well what can i say.... this was a hard one for me.... but when needs must the devil drives they say so i drew a cute little face and found gingham paper and ribbon in my stash and this is the end result.

The wallet card above was made for rosiedees challenge a couple of weeks ago... i put money in it and gave it to the lovely couple who bravely had my twins as their bridesmaids on the 19th sept.

Art on the darkside...

The challenge this week is 'lurking in the shadows'.
I used a stamp from 'scrapz' but cant remember the maker, and a part of a 'crafty individuals' doorway stamp.The words are from the same plate as the woman.
I made shadows using ink... all very simple.... and mounted it on red for contrast.

Three muses.... last weeks and this weeks,

The challenge at the three muses this week is 'MOONSTRUCK'.
I used 'tuscan rose' stamps and just coloured with inks an atc. I have also posted 'charlie chaplin' which was the challenge the previous week, i had it made ready to enter but forgot to do it before i packed the camera.The 'chaplin' 4x4 is all cut'n'paste, images from internet and joanna sheen

The challenge this week is to use a repulsive riddle or rhyme.... i have used a rhyme by one of my favourite writers...EDGAR ALLEN POE... these simple 2 lines haunt me.
The background was made by my little girls,,, the stamps are 'inkadinkado' and 'non-sequtur'.... i have used black and white pencils to define the details.

A week away

Just wanted my lovely blogging buddies to know i'm away for a week... i have done some challenges put typical of me cant photo them and post them on here as i've packed the camera and its under a mountian of luggage!!!
This is the box i have made for challenge at rosiedees this week... 'colours of neopolitian icecream'... you have less than 24 hours to join in before the new challenge starts tomorrow evening... my Dt piece is something very different for me... go have a look tomorrow or i'll post it on here next weekend when i get back.

Haunted design house

The macabre monday challenge at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE is WILDLY WICKED WINGED THINGS.
Oh how i love this challenge... i used a 'stamptivity' fairy stampcoloured her with water colour pencils and normal pencils, heat embossed with clear powder over the top, then used a circle template to colour in the moon... covered the moon and inked in the sky with 2xpurple inks and 2x blue inks.
I then stamped on some foiliage and the bats. I matted on to black card edged with gold.... and thats it.... she looks pretty wild to me, and has a wicked half smile.

The challenge this week is to make a 'baby' themed card, so i got another christmas card done... this one is to send to my 'big sis's' little granddaughter for her very 1st christmas.
