GUEST DESIGNER at DE-STEMPELWINKEL DAY #7 http://destempelwinkeldesignteam.blogspot.co.uk/
Well this is my last but one project for DE-STEMPELWINKEL..... and i got down and got dirty....boy oh boy did i get dirty! I adore using paint.... and this used lots of it....and loads of little brads...and mirri...yes i did say mirri...card.
I painted a wooden box, inside and out with dark brown paint. I used Tim Holtz texture plates (riveted metal) and Gadget Gears die on silver card. I glued this to the box using a strong glue and sanded the edges.
Once dry I painted it all over with dark brown acrylic paint.... more drying time... then I dabbed it all over with medium brown, orange and a small amount of black paint.
Once completely dry I gently sanded it over to show some of the silver card. I used brads to look like rivets. I painted the "gears" the same way and used one to frame the man's face. More brads, and cracked embossing finished my shabby rusty box.
I shall enter this box into the following challenges.....
