De-stempelwinkel Guest designer piece.

Today i have another of the 8 pieces i have made as Guest Designer at DE-STEMPELWINKEL http://destempelwinkeldesignteam.blogspot.co.uk/ .
This is an 8x8 inch canvas. All the lovely ladies are from ....you guessed it...DE-STEMPELWINKEL.
You can check out the designer blog and the shop by clicking the link above.

The canvas is painted pale blue, then a coat of PVA glue. Whilst the glue was still wet I dragged dark blue, mint green and yellow over the top and allowed it to dry naturally. I used a piece of canvas and did the same thing, except once I had dragged the colours over the glue I dried it with my heat gun. You get bubbles and wonderful texture. Cut it into squares, then stamped the women onto tissue paper, coloured them with pro-markers, tore them out and Mod Podged them to my squares. I used small brads to fix the squares to the canvas.
I'd like to enter this canvas into the following challenges.

  14. Love the techniques you used-You always outdo yourself, you know:) I love the whole look and you not only have a dancer but a Gibson Girl in the centre! The hairstyle gives it away. They were the supermodels of their day at the turn of the century! I would love to try that technique you talked about with the glue and all-very cool
