I have been a retarded blogger!

I for some reason have not blogged for ages...

I am now getting my act together and shall blog regularly!

I have used the beautiful ROBOT 2

to make a new cover for this little note book.

 I coloured the image with alcohol pens and pencils...

matted onto black sturdy card.

Over the  3 days we have  had 3 different themes....
DAY #3 the theme is....ZOMBIE RESURRECTION...
....So anything featuring Zombies will do.

 I used egg baskets that are a colouring page off the internet and the fantastic ZOMBIE BUNNIES from
IKE'S ART.

 These close ups are a truer colour than the top picture... for some reason my camera doesnt like the full page!

 I coloured everything with alcohol pens and pencils.

AWAKEN THE BEAST:
A DARK SPRING PROJECT THAT FEATURES CREATURES OR ANIMALS.

I used SMEARED INKS dig set CREATURE FEATURE,
and real rubber from DE-STEMPELEWINKEL for the stones at the bottom, the foliage and the cherry blossom.

 I added all the line detail in to keep everything looking similar to the CREATURE FEATURE digis.

I chose to depict a friends favourite Easter joke.

 I used SMOKEY  from SMEARED INK, with baskets of eggs a freebie colouring page off the internet.

The words are computer generated.

SMOKEY and eggs/baskets are coloured with alcohol pens and pencils.

I'll warn you now...this is a picture heavy post... sorry...
I started with an old book for my WONDERLAND MADNESS project..
.. I have kept it for ages as it has a really quirky opening....

 .......different isn't it?

 So here it is now.... I used some G45 papers that I had been keeping for a special occasion.
FRONT...

 BACK....
I added stamped distressed flourishes, using copper and gold embossing powder.

 COVER OPENED....

 .....THEN THE HIDDEN SURPRISE...

 ...... A RABBIT HOLE TO LOOK INTO.....
PLUS
A HIDDEN TAG ON THE INSIDE OF THE FIRST PAGE.

 ...BETTER LOOK AT THE TAG....

 ...THE VIEW DOWN THE HOLE...

 ...THE DISTRESSED STAMPED SWIRLY FLOURISHES...

 ...MORE ALICE...

 ....AND YET MORE ALICE....

I covered the book in faux leather... with gold detailing before distressing it...
I wanted it to have a well loved appearance so i also aged the very white pages...
much better now they have a grubbier look.

Another week begins.......SMUDGY ANTICS ....ANYTHING GOES.

today I have the reverse side of the 'WOMAN OF POWER'

 I used a rubber stamp from the QUOTH THE RAVEN  plate for the 

wire mesh in the background. I coloured her up with alcohol ink and pencils.

.....and because i forgot to blog last Sundays piece, which is the other side of this fatbook page....

here it is!

 Again she's a WOMAN OF POWER, and I used the rubber stamp from 

QUOTH THE RAVEN plate in the background..... shes coloured as the top one.

QUOTH THE RAVEN

We have a brand new challenge for you starting today at

Our theme is DREAM ON....

You can create anything you desire as long as it follows the theme and, 

you'll be in with a chance of winning....

Here's my take on the theme... I used the poem by POE...

A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM as my inspiration.

 I used clay, stamped with stamps from DE-STEMPELWINKEL...

 the heart shaped base is six layers of grey board. I painted the finished project with acrylic paints to give it a stone effect.

I had so much fun with this theme... that I actually did 3 pieces....
2 I'll show today, the 3rd I'll show on my next SMUDGY ANTICS post on Sunday.
I played with stamps and clay again....

I used SMEARED INK RUBBER for all 3 pieces.... gorgeous quality...so deeply etched....
look at the detail below.


I used an embossing folder to get the brick-stone effect.

 Can you believe it....? Usually when I play with clay and make fairly large pieces they break
and crack.... NONE of these pieces did! So i had to deliberately break them to get the cracks
required!

Again look at the detail in the clay... love it!
I painted both with acrylic black paint then dry brushed with grey and cream to bring out the detail
and give them a stone effect.

VALENTINE POE for SMUDGY ANTIC'S and QUOTH THE RAVEN

Happy Valentine's day...

or as I call it... enforced love day.

I have a fatbook page for you today,

dedicated to my love of POE.

 I used all SMEARED INK real rubber, stamped and masked... coloured with

alcohol ink and pencils.

You still have nearly two weeks to enter our challenge at SMUDGY ANTICS which is as always ANYTHING GOE'S, using a SMEARED INK image.......and

Today Is the launch of our new challenge at DE-STEMPELWINKEL STAMPERS, so I combined the two... cheeky I know but i'm just about all 'valentine'd ' out. Just an ATC to show.... our theme at DE-STEMPELWINKEL is RED.... this is just one of a few RED atc's i've made but the only BLOODY VALENTINE.

Kristy I have a stamped collaged ATC to show you today featuring POE...

 the stamps are a mix of SMEARED INK and DE-STEMPELWINKEL,

coloured with pencils.

 ALSO today I have a small altered box...

 I used embossed card to cover the outside, with metallic wax to highlight the embossing.

 Inside the lid I added a decoupaged heart... I used a SMEARED INK digi image for this,

printed out 8 times, coloured with alcohol inks, silicone to layer it up, i made a lining for the lid and used plastic mesh( the stuff you cover your guttering with) to keep the heart safe.

So thats it for me on DAY#2 ... next on the roll is Julia.... bet she has something great to share. Our challenge at QUOTH THE RAVEN has another 3 weeks to run... hope you'll have time to create something FOR THE LOVE OF POE. See you tomorrow for DAY #3. BDx
