TRY IT ON TUESDAY

Its the last week of the month and TRY IT ON TUESDAY have a new schedule which means that the last week of every month will be to alter something..... the theme for this week is ALTER SOMETHING and INCLUDE WINGS. The theme for the alter piece will be announced at the begining of the month so you have time to work on something.... this theme was announced at the begining of january, but me being me...i forgot... and then had to do something quick.... luckily i had the box 'gilded' just waiting to be 'done'..... so i distressed it with black stazon ink.
I glued velvet ribbon round the lid.... and made a velvet flower....added some netting, gold thready stuff, leaves, feathers, and twiddley bits..... and topped it off with a reclaimed brass butterfly.

I have an idea of what i wanna make to go in this pretty box.... it really is rather pretty and girly for me.... but at least its mainly black!

I hope you can join us this week.... please go and check out what the other members of the DT have made.... you can see that they spent much more than ten minutes making there beautiful altered items.

Thanks for visiting me... love lynx
