De-stempelwinkel Guest Designer http://destempelwinkeldesignteam.blogspot.co.uk/?zx=cda30f425277ca57

Today i have another piece to share with you that i made as part of my month long adventure as guest designer at DE-STEMPELWINKEL.
I really think he's rather cute..... i brought a china bird from a pound store...sanded it down.... gave it a couple of coats of cream paint. I stamped lots of cogs , gears and watch innards (all from DE-STEMPELWINKEL of cause) onto tissue paper.... used gesso to decoupage them onto my birdie. Once dry i painted around them so no seams to be seen. Then finally i coloured in the cogs etc with promarkers.... shades of blue and brown so some of the cogs looked rusty.
I glued on some small watch parts for his eyes and on some of the cogs....just because i wanted too!...and it adds texture which i like. Hes sitting on another Guest piece i have made but what it is you wont find out til next week...but its brown and rusty looking!
I'll enter the following challenges.....
http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.co.uk/ ANYTHING GOES/LINKY PARTY
http://fashionablestampingchallenges.cottagecrafts.ie/ NATURE....i hope my birdie is suitable.
http://foreverfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ ANYTHING GOES/MUST HAVE ANIMAL.... i saw that the dt used birds so hope mines allowed.
http://theseinspiredchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ PHOTO INSPIRATION.... the colours.... and shape.
http://doodleartifacts.blogspot.co.uk/ RECYCLE /REUSE/REPURPOSE/plus metal....watch innards!
