DESTEMPELWINKEL DT PROJECT

Happy Sunday to you.... its my turn again to post onto the

DE-STEMPELWINKEL DESIGNERS BLOG  and,

once again its a page in my little critters book.

This page has special meaning to me.... 

9yrs ago today I had my twin girls.... together they weighed  6lb 12oz,

we are a family of dragons.... 

one is glitter dragon,(because she loves everything pretty and sparkly)

 the other little Black dragon...(because she's a goth  like me!)

 I stamped and masked the letter tiles, stamped the dragon, 

then i carefully postioned and stamped the critters onto the letter tiles.

I used promarkers and pencils to colour the images.... 

then used a wash of distress inks for the background.... finally adding a splattering of distress ink

flicked from a tooth brush.... messy and fun!

I love this dragon.... did you notice she's blowing out 9 candles?

JUST PERFECT!

IKE'S WORLD CHALLENGE

The challenge at IKE'S WORLD is MONOCHROME

that means you choose just one colour but you can use as many shades of that colour as you wish.

I went with brown.... though I might do black...but black is rather difficult to do shades of as they're grey!

So heres my tag...

I used COGNITIVE THOUGHTS coloured with promarkers and pencils.

I used brickwork dollshouse paper and some paper i found with cogs on which i fussy cut and added.

The flowers i made using these two kinds of paper as well.

Yes, you read the title correctly.

We are celebrating how close we are to 666 followers of

our quaint little, dark sided challenge blog.

There are nearly 666 beasties who follow our blog! Wow!

Thank you to everyone who stops by, comments, and even dares to

play with us. We appreciate you all, and look forward to spreading

the word of the "dark artist", to all who will listen.

So to truly celebrate, we are having a 

Number of the Beast 

themed challenge this fortnight.  

Bring out yer beasties and yer monsties! You could even use the number

six (or multiple sixes) in your project, or make an Iron Maiden project as well.
It's up to you. Interpret the theme as you like, but remember to keep it
creepy, dark, Gothic, Steampunk, or Hallowe'en in nature. 

And we're offering some equally wicked prizes to commemorate this

auspicious event. The Minions are still hammering out the details 

of all of the prizes, but just know that some original Minion artwork is involved!!

We're not only awarding prizes to our chosen Gruesome Twosomes,

but we are also going to award a special prize to one (or more) lucky entrants. 

Nice, right?

Keep in mind, this is all in good fun. We are not promoting Satanism, 

 but we are celebrating our own popularity,

and having some fun while we're at it.

 I made another box altered with clay.

 The top has 666 on it,skulls and a death.

 The sides are stamped clay using SMEARED INK STAMPS.

Well here we are again, 

time for another SMEARED AND SMUDGED MEMBERS BLOG HOP.

This month our theme was to ALTER SOMETHING.

I stated out with a frame from one of our pound stores.

 I covered it in  digi-papers from SMEARED INK,

that I printed onto canvas paper and roughed up good and proper!

 You know how difficult it is when you're crafting to keep stuff tidy...?

 Well .... this assemblage depicts just that scenerio....

....whatever your craft is..... you always end up with a complete mess!

Stuff stacked everywhere...... every nook and cranny full.

 Nearly everything i've used has been re-claimed from previous projects,

or is a left over from something.

The two 'stone' bottles  started life as a 'party-popper' and 'bubble mixture' bottle.

The little books i made from scrap card.

These little witches shelves are stuffed full of bits and bobs..... just like my own shelves in my craftroom.

I hope you enjoy looking at everyones ALTERED projects....

i'm sure you'll be amazed and inspired.

Good morning on this sunny Sunday...

not something i've been able to say to often this year.

I am an old hand on the SMEARED INK DT....

both in age and time served.

I adore the the images/stamps that this company produces,

we also have a FORUM for stampers, where you'll find great challenges every month 

with great prizes.... every month there is a freebie image for you to create with...

plus a members blog hop..... there is always friendly helpful chat on the vent..

June 4th has become SKULL APPRECIATION DAY,

so in honour of this event I, have done a double page spread in my

''little critters book of fun'' for my post today on the DE-STEMPELWINKEL designers blog.

 I didn't cheat today....everything has been stamped and masked,

no stamping then cut'n'paste bits on these pages.

 The little critter above looks like he's doing a highland fling and...

the little critter below has learned the amazing trick of balancing on his tail...

these little fellas have great fun wherever they go.

This page, called 'RUNNING WITH SCISSORS' 

was on the designers blog last week,

but I had another senior moment and forgot to put it on my own blog.....

 so you have a double helping today :)

I hope to have the whole book finished by the end of june... or maybe july!
