MACABRE MONDAYS

Yep its sunday so i thought i'd better hurry up and get my MACABRE MONDAY challenge done.
Barb set the challenge this week of NOXIOUS TOXINS..............
My childish sense of humour took over and heres what i 've made..... NOT gothic.... NOT macabre..... NOT gory..... but SCARY as hell...............
................yep the STINKY POO NAPPY!
I used a stamp i've had for yonks.... coloured with watercolours........... NOXIOUS TOXINS? OH YES! YOU BET IT IS!

SMEARED INK BLOG HOP AND NEW RELEASES

as most of you know i am a proud member of the SMEARED INK design team..... i am crazy about stampin' and love 'different' stamps, well Terra and Tori the 2 talented ladies behind SMEARED INK have come up with 3 new plates and OH MY they are different! I am in heaven... yep pun intended!
This arch card i made with one of the angels from the NEW The Symbology of Angels plate....
I can see i am gonna use him and others when my order arrives.... alot. Here are the 3 new releases................... WOW............ i love them all..... honest i do!

Stampinsanity

The challenge this week at STAMPINSANITY is a very nice sketch to follow, and i've made the deadline by the skin of my teeth again this week! I have used stamps from SMEARED INK..... (i'm on the dt!!!! Bighead, very proud!).... i have used the words from CHICKS DIG GUNS.... you wouldnt have guessed would you? and two cemetary scenes from HOLY CITY..... i love that set!
I kept it simple.... black and red card stock.... images stamped in black and shaded with black ink, with red water colour on the words to look like blood spatters..... kept it simple cos its a simple message.... GUNS KILL.
I shall also enter it in THE CORROSIVE CHALLENGE http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/ where the challenge is BLACK AND WHITE WITH ONE OTHER COLOUR....my case...red.Thanks for visiting.... love lynx

Tellens place

This is the last challenge before TELLENS PLACE takes a break for summer..... well not really a break, Terry and I shall still be about every week.... sometimes more than once a week.... but you need to check out TELLENS PLACE for all the info.
Well i have had a week of doing things out of my comfort zone..... see post below as well!
I have used one of the cute images from TP instead of the wonderful dark images i love so much.... my card is depicting an English SUMMERTIME..... SUMMERTIME being the new challenge.
I used no ink.... and no stamps.... wow! The image is water coloured.... i have used DCWV card stock , a sandcastle brad, and rub on words...... so different for me.... think this is cute? Thankfully i havent posted my girls birthday cards..... my dark cred would be buried, not just gone!

Tuesday taggers

Sorry for being a day late with this but yesterday was my twin girls 5th birthday.... and the day disappeared in a whirl of pink balloons, shiney steamers and a mountian of pressies in princess paper!
Sally picked the challenge this week and its SHOES.... any kind of footwear really... the DT have done some lovely things so please go check them out. Knowing this challenge was going live on my girls birthday i made this atc with them in mind.... their first pairs of shoes were black patent leather.... i have kept them of cause.... and the words are so true.... my girls are no longer twin babies.... they are two individual little ladies, and every day is a step towards them growing up.
The stamp came from SCRAPS.... its coloured with ink... and i 'marbled' a background.

MACABRE MONDAYS

Barbs challenge at MACABRE MONDAYS..... is TRUEBIE OR NOT TRUEBIE..... but as i have never seen (or read) any of the True blood series i made up my own!
I used a faerie stamp from De stampelwinkel and altered her a bit and made her into a Vampire.
I stamped some green card with an Elusive images stamp.... and distressed it with red ink. I coloured my image with water colours, cut her out and pasted her to the green card. I stuck some black lace and red sequins down the left side and matted it onto black then red card, then onto a black card base. I added black and red net to the right hand side and really distressed it!
The dripping blood is fabric paint.... because it drips sooooooooooo nice!

STAMPITCRAZY

Barb the 'Angel' at STAMPITCRAZY has set the challenge this week of PEPSI CHALLENGE..... I used 2 of her stamps..... the crazy skull and the wording..... i stamped the skull twice so i could layer it up..... i love giving skulls a bit of dimention.... and red pearls for his eyes..... i layered the image up onto red, blue corrigated and black card stock. I used a ring pull from a can...... i hold my hands up.... it was from Ron's c#k#! Sorry Barb!!!! and knotted some red and blue ribbon on it.

Thought you might like a close up.... what a fantastic skull stamp.... i just adore him!

I coloured him with water colours.

Tellens place...dt piece and news

It's wednesday and we have a new challenge for you at TELLENS PLACE..... can you guess what it is from my card?
The challenge is ............ WEDDINGS/ GOING TO THE CHAPEL.

I thought a 'skelly-bride' would be just a little different.......... i used one of Markus' .........( hes the brilliant artist who does all of TELLENS PLACE'S images) skulls.... printed it out twice so i could layer it up to make it more dimentional........ (during the next few weeks i'll show you how....but more of that later) i coloured my images with water colours and ink.

I used very distressed black netting for the vail... and a velveteen crown with pearls to hide where i stuck the net to the image.

I placed it onto a distressed black pearlized oval then onto my card that i'd used a black patterned dp that i'd distressed also..... and a bit of black lace.

The sentiment oval i blackened.... but you can just about see that it says... LOVE FOREVER.

Thats about it...... now who do i send it too?

The NEWS i refered to in my post is that TELLENS PLACE CHALLENGES will be having a break for summer but TERRY and i shall be doing stuff every week on the blog so you still need to come and see us..... i have some things to show you..... how to mask using digis/ real rubber stamps.... how to make black..... ok... any colour roses..... how to decoupage the skull image above and some more things i'm working on..... TERRY has tons of stuff up her sleeve, including PRIZES.... please PLEASE come and join us during the summer.... this is something new to me and i hope it'll be fun and you'll have lots of chances to be involved and do stuff with us.

Please come and play with us...... WEDDINGS dont have to be white fru-fru you know!

Tuesday taggers

The challenge this week at TUESDAY TAGGER is to make a VINTAGE BOOKMARK.
I always have this book beside my bed.... have done since 1982 when i brought it.... and usually i use as a book mark..................

....................this corner of an envelope........ so i made a proper bookmark but stuck my corner to it.... i like the way it just slots on the page and doesnt fall off/out. I used CHERRY PIE STAMPS, coloured with distress inks and black card as a base.

Edgar Allen Poe is one of my all time favourites.... along with M R James and H P Lovecraft.... sad arnt i?

MACABRE MONDAYS

The challenge this week at MACABRE MONDAYS is SINISTER SHADOWS..... I have used a STAMPITCRAZY (link on my sidebar) stamp of The awesome Mr Depp as SWEENEY TODD.... a cut throat Razor stamp.... no idea where from.... card stock from DCWV and script paper from my bit box..... The SWEENEY TODD stamp comes with shadows but i added to them with red ink and black ink .... need i say that?..... the razors are coloured with ink and attached with foam to give the piece dimention.

Dragonsdream, tag it on.

I love the challenges at Dragons dream.... and this one is no exception.... Its ACETATE and ALCOHOL.... and has been choosen by Frankies guest designer Wanda.
I have also made this for the brilliant SMEARED AND SMUDGED FORUM http://smearedandsmudged.ning.com/ using SMEARED INK NYMPH'S SET.....
I am very proud to be on the DT there as the stamps are amazing.
I cut my tag shape out of thick acetate, and used black, purple and blue alcohol ink, when dry.... almost instantly i stamped my nymph using ARCHIVAL INK.... i used black but it doesnt matter because as soon as i stamped it i wiped it off with a tissue so i was left with a clear image.
I cut a white tag exactly the same size as my acetate one and glued it to a slightly larger black one.
I placed the acetate tag on top and punched through an eyelet..... i didnt want to stick the acetate do completely.... i wanted to be able to move it about.... i tied my tag with a purple ribbon to finish.

TELLENS PLACE

Good evening you guys.... today is still wednesday...JUST.... and TELLENS PLACE has a new challenge.... FATHERS DAY.

I have used water colours to colour this brilliant Tellens place image.

The image is mounted on to DCWV and BASIC GREY card, i stamped 'don't be a grump' from SMEARED INK, GRUMPIES SET.....all over my background.... and put black ink lines randomly on the basic grey paper...all edges are distressed and smudged with black ink.

My Dad is known as GRUMPY..... so on fathers day 'dont be a grump' is quite fitting.

This 'close up' shows the detail in the image.... boy does he look grumpy.

TUESDAY TAGGERS

Good evening guys.... the challenge at TUESDAY TAGGERS this week is ALL THAT BLOOMS.
I altered this bag using a DIMENTION FORTH skull stamp,coloured with white sukura pen then sealed with a plastic coating.... i made a feather and flower 'fascinator' with a pin attachment so it can be removed.

The card below i made using stamps from THIRD COAST & CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS
its all water coloured ...... and lots of ink smudged about.... i decoupaged DEATH's scythe so it looks as if he's about to move..... I mounted my scene onto black then blue and then on to a black card blank.
