SUNDAY POST CARD....

The theme this week is fashion. I took a pre cut postcard, and pinched some peel offs from my daughters craft box and put them on. then i coloured over the whole lot with different colour inks in a random pattern. i removed the peel offs and put 4 corners on then inked edges with dark purple,took corners off . the images were finally highlighted with metallic pencils.. and rub on words put over the top.

This is my take on the theme... had never seen a 'jem' doll til sunday... used a stamptivity stamp... and Dovecraft papers.

stampin for the weekend

The challenge this week is 'masking'... this is such fun to do.
I used 2 'gorguss girls', these 2 are my girls... and a background stamp, plus a little grass stamp at the front... so 4stamps in all.
I coloured with promarkers.The papers are 'DCWV', so is the sticky ribbon and sentiment.

Dragonsdream, tag it on.

The challenge this week is 'spots and swirls in pink'.

I coloured a tag with distress ink in faded lipstick and tattered rose, then sprayed with glimmermists.

I stamped on swirls and brushed with cosmic shimmer powders.

The lady was stamped in the space i left and coloured with a mix of mica powder and chalk.

Finally a piece of ribbon was knotted though the hole in the top of the tag.... this is just about the most pink, swirly, girly thing i've ever done!!!!

The three muses.... incredible journey

The theme of the three muses challenge this week is 'incredible journey'... i could think of nothing more incredible than even the most ordinary life.
I have stamped a back groung then over stamped with various stamps to add interest. I found a small picture of a cradle, word definitions from a dictionary, and the words 'family. friends and heritage' and pasted them on.
I stamped grave stones at the bottom to try to depict the incredible journey we all take from cradle to grave.... even if like me you have a very ordinary life... its one hell of an incredible journey.

The challenge this week at ART FREEBIES, SOARTFUL CHALLENGE is 'ANGELS TEARS.
Not being able to do anything digital.... i'm a techno-idiot... and having nothing in my stamp collection suitable i doodled this. I coloured her in shades of grey with my promarkers and used a white pen to highlight some areas.

SUNDAY POST CARD....

The challenge this week is 'vintage children'.
I used a piece of patterned paper and stamped a line of children in sepia, a pretty childs face in sepia and black ink, then shaded in a faint face shape. I've added a 'saying' and stamped a distressed border at the top.
I cut and pasted some faux buttons, a leaf and a flower... oh and a postage stamp complete with postmark.Finally i inked around the edges in sepia.

PRO MARKER & TUESDAY TAGGERS

' Tuesday taggers' challenge this week is 'swirls and curls' and 'promarker' challenge is 'rose pink and lime green'.
I've cut swirls for a sheet of paper and coloured them with prromarkers in pink and green, pasted them on to green card thats matted onto pink card. I 've added faux stitching around the card edges to match the stitching on the swirls.
The little figure i drew.... i was inspired by my girls 'nintendo' game which has dear little manga figures.
I've used promarkers rose pink, lime green, blush,satin,terracotta, and ice grey 1&3.
3 little flowers and a 'funky' greeting finished it off.

Dotties world... and corrosive challenge

This is a double whammy this week... 'DOTTIES WORLD' challenge is to use a frame, and its a sketch from 'CORROSIVE CHALLENGES'.

I've used one of the gorgeous 'pixie chicks' down loads and although shes not really a christmas pixie, she looks so lovely done in blues with frosty glitter.... i use her quite a lot.

The pixie is coloured with promarkers. The papers, card etc come from my christmas box. Thanks for taking time to come and look.

Art on the darkside.... in the attic

The challenge at 'art on the darkside' this week is 'in the attic'.
I have always been scared of bones... so a 'skelly-bone' popping out of the attic is my nightmare.
I used a door cut from (old) joanna sheen papers, i stamped a 'skelly-bone' i brought on a gothic halloween plate from scrapz, and cut it out, i pasted it half in front of, and half behind the door.I put a bit of chain in its hands so it can hear him coming!!!!

The challenge this week at dragonsdreams is 'carte postale'... this is my 'take ' on the theme.

I stamped a scene using stamps i brought from 'scrapz' a little while back and coloured lightly with metallic pencils. i inked the edges and tied blue ribbon in a knot.... the words 'post card' are from my new crafty individuals stamps.

Rainbowladys challenge...

The challenge over at 'rainbowladys' this week is 'HATS'.
Lurking on a shelf i found some old 'joanna sheen' papers so i used some as backing, and cut hats out of another sheet.
I stamped a 'non sequtur' lady (wearing a very fancy hat) in red ink to match the cut 'n' pasted hats and backing papers.

Tuesday taggers....

Tuesday taggers challenge this week is 'TEXTURE'.... and i love texture....just adore anything touchy-feely... so i went to town!!
The tag is made from very rustic hand-made paper, i stamped a celtic knot onto 'chammie leather' and coloured with pencil. I recycled some bits 'n' bobs from a topper i was given, tied some raffia though the hole and thats it... very very touchy-feely.

Pro marker challenge

The challenge this week at 'passion for promarkers is 'RUBY AND GOLD...plus JEWELS AND GEMS'.
The backing paper is DCWV, i coloured in the white spots with the promarker GOLD to make them match my image....which is one of the beautiful 'HOLLY & MADDISON' downloads from 'charmed crafts'. I've used rub-on words, gold coloured gems, flowers from the pot on my desk coloured with my promarkers, and a ruby coloured gem brad to hold them together.
Markers used are:
RUBY,GOLD,ICE GREY1 &3,PASTEL BLUE,SPICE,TERRACOTTA,BLUSH,SATIN & PASTEL PINK.

As an avid jrt fan... i've owned 2 over the years... the one i have now is 16yrs old but still has courage by the bucket full ... this atc is for her and my old lad who died age 16 in 1996.

sunday post cards & something completely different

i have made this post card with 2 challenges in mind.

sunday post card has the challenge of 'fabric' being used.... i used some very fine cotton to stamp on instead of card,some lace and ribbon.

something completely different has post cards as a theme all of july and this weeks challenge is vintage.

i dont know the make of stamp or even where i brought it, sorry, its stamped onto fine cotton, coloured ith pencil and ink, i've added a fancy metal corner and a key.

stampin for the weekend...& delightful sketches

The challenge this week at 'stampin for the weekend'.... ok i know its wednesday!!!!.... is 'strawberries dipped in chocolate'... meaning red and brown.

I used a lovely digi stamp from charmed= dotties world, coloured with promarkers, the red and brown card are from DCWV, the paper is from a christmas pad... my girls have distroyed the cover, so dont know whose it is, but it is newish.

The flowers come from the pot on my desk, coloured with promarkers to match the image.

The sketch is from a site i just found...'delightful sketches' and i'm sure i'll be using there challenge site again as i look this sketch... a lot!!!! Thanks for taking time to look at my work.

I made this atc for the challenge at 'crafty creations '... the challenge this week is birds.

I used a glimmer misted back ground... a crafty individuals stamp.... metallic pancils to define some areas of the birds, then triple embossed it to make a 'tile'.

Rosie and Dee's challenge

This is what i made for this weeks challenge at Rosie-Dees...

the challenge being 'WEDDING'.

I used a small wooden frame that i painted in antique bronze.

I stamped swirls with an embossing pad then brushed with 'Pearl' perfect pearls. I used a vintage image from artfreebies of a happy couple, used some mamlock victorian scraps and a few sticky back pearls from joanna sheen.

The three muses

The challenge this week at the three muses is 'SURREAL'.
What could be more surreal than HRH, sitting on a beach, dressed as a clown leaning on a tea pot?
The background and tea pot are rub-ons, the clown body is a mamlock scrap and the head of HRH is from a book of bank notes.

PRO MARKER CHALLENGE

The challenge at 'promarker' this week is a sketch to go with the colours 'cocoa and cornflower'.
I used one of the beautiful 'pixie chicks' from 'charmed' ... you can get to them via the 'Dotties world' blinkie on the side of my blog. This one is actually a holly pixie but i changed her... painlessly of cause.
I coloured some paper with cocoa and cornflower so i could punch out flowers and leaves... and i coloured a white die-cut greeting with 'cocoa' to match.
I used cocoa, cornflower blue, ice grey3, satin,blush and pastel pink.
Rub-ons and gems finished her off.

Dotties world

Blooming beautiful is the challenge at 'Dotties world' this week. I love this pixie... she should be a Holly pixie, but i just had to 'adjust' her a little... it was all painless... honest.
I coloured her with promarkers, the papers were in a kit from c/c a couple of years back, and i added real lace to the edge. I removed her holly head dress and added silk pansy petals, gave her dragonfly wings and coloured tiny silk flowers the same colour as her dress to hide other evidence of her being a holly pixie..... i hope you like the her... i adore her...with or without the holly.
